State Senator John F. Curran (R-Downers Grove) and AARP will be hosting a free Medicare Part D Seminar for all area senior residents to learn more about Medicare coverage, Part D and the various options available to them.
The event is at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, at the Homer Township Library, 14320 West 151st Street in Homer Glen, and will last approximately 90 minutes.
“With Medicare and health care frequently changing, this is a great opportunity for seniors to get up-to-date on their many Medicare options, learn what the plans entail and get all of their questions answered in one place,” said Curran. “Working with AARP, we’ve put together an informational seminar with the latest developments in Medicare and highly knowledgeable representatives to help prepare seniors for the Medicare application process or explore different plans to fit their needs.”
The informational session will include an in-depth explanation of Medicare Part D and how it works, “Medicare 101” covering basics of Medicare, coverage plan options, the application process, associated costs, and a discussion on the future of Medicare and U.S. health care pertaining to seniors.
The event is open to all area residents—no RSVP necessary to attend. For more information about the free Medicare seminar, please contact Curran’s district office at (630) 796-2623.
