Curran statement on cancellation of Senate Ethylene Oxide Emissions Hearing
The following is a statement by State Sen. John Curran (R-Downers Grove) regarding the Illinois Senate Environmental and Conversation Committee canceling their planned hearing on ethylene oxide emissions, which was scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
“Today, I am calling on the Illinois Senate Environment and Conservation Committee to immediately reschedule this hearing on ethylene oxide so we can address the critical public health issue facing our residents in and around Willowbrook. I share our residents' disappointment and frustration in this last minute cancellation. Time is of the essence, and the residents surrounding this facility need to know we’re doing everything in our power to address their well-founded concerns.”
